Hello,

Just wondering if i'm missing something as i cant work out why my fps would drop. Basically im using a gaming laptop (G751 JY) which is a beast for a laptop. But for racing games and GTA V when its out, i want to connect it via HDMI cable to my HDTV and use and Xbox pad (bit like a console).

When i do that i then deactivate my laptop screen in Nvidia settings so its not trying to display two screens and the HDTV is the only display. There isn't any low power mode activated and both displays are and set to 1920x1080 both game and desktop settings.

Tested it on a demo on steam (RIDE), using just my laptop screen and everything maxed out i get a nice 75fps solid. But when connected to my HDTV the fps drop alot and must be in its 20's barely playable. I figured it should be near the same as just the laptop screen.

Any suggestions?

Maybe the HDMI is defaulting to the integrated graphics. You can try going to the Nvidia Control Panel and set each game executable to use Nvidia graphics only.
