I want to run starcraft 2 on ultra settings, and sim city the new one, at most thses are the games I want to run

The specs for the computers

Costs 831$ = Intel Core i5-4570 Processor 3.2 GHz (6 MB cache)|| 8 GB SDRAM DDR3|| 1024 GB 7200 rpm Hard Drive|| NVIDIA GeForce GTX660 Graphics|| Windows 8 My Faveee

I can get this expensive computer, but it would just take longer....

Costs = 1,260$ ||3.5Hz Intel i7 3770K Processor with liquid cooling|| 16 GB 1333MHz DDR3 Memory|| 2TB Hard Drive|| Nvidia 550 GTX-TI 1GB GDDR5 Video Card|| Microsoft windows 7 home premium 64 bit

Are these good? I prefer the cheaper one tbh

The expensive one is a complete rip off. The 3770K is an amazing CPU, but the GPU, a measly GTX 550, is not optimal for gaming, especially compared to the rest of the PC. I would also avoid anything with liquid cooling if you don't know much about PCs.

The cheaper one is only a slight rip-off, like most pre-built computers.. The cheaper one would easily be able to play SC2 and SimCity and would be my choice. You can always upgrade it later.

The 1st one hands down,

You may buy a better GPU if you build it on your own.

Do not go with the 2nd one thats for sure. You could build something way better for a way better price....

@Arthas045: i really dont know where to begin, i have the money, i know there are sites to do this on, i just cant cause im scared i will build one that will fry or be bad, the sites are ibuypower.com and digitalstormonline.com, i know they include a warranty which is what i want, i want it sooner and learning to build a comp wil delay that time, if maybe one of you awesome people or urself arthas045 can build me one on that site give me the specs on it and the link to it i wud greatly appreciate it, i am wiling to spend 700-800 bucks and even possibly 900

GPU would be a GTX760 hands down. That will give you what you want and more. The people on this site are great at hitting your budget.

The GPU I listed is quite overkill for the games you listed I assume you will want to play future titles?

This is my PC in a nut shell. I will be upgrading the GPU in the very near future, but everything still plays great at this moment. I am able to run games even the newest titles at medium to high settings with no problems.

I have both Sim City and Starcraft 2 and have 0 issues with them.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3nKbO this one costs 10$ more but it has a better GPU and CPU

But then again as @Arthas045 mentioned for the games you want to max out it's overkill.

You could settle with a 600$ gaming rig including OS that will suffice (I know so because I ran SC2 on max with only 5770 and i5 750)

if you only want to play the games you've mentioned I can recommend on this: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3nKM6 it's a 600$ all that you need gaming rig

@Arthas045: I'm glad it works alright for you, but I would never recommend a 4 phase MSI board for 8320. I came up with this setup, it's actually very similar to PredatorRules'es, with a better motherboard. Allows overclock and supports SLI and CF. I didn't include OS.

Pcpartpicker.com best free site to use when picking out parts if you go the build it yourself route. In which case why not if you can put lego's together and read you can build a computer. You save money and learn a little bit about the machine in the process.

Wasn't sure of your future plans for gaming on a PC, but if you were only going for those 2 games then I would go with Predators for sure.
