i just started playing fable 3 on pc maxed out, with gtx 465 in sli, and fraps claims that the game is running at 30 fps, is there any way to make the fps higher with no screen tearing?

I found it hard to max, but it was easy enough to run at high settings. Not sure what setting was the problem.

It's a poor port. Most pc gamers playing Fable III have reported that they get large frame rate drops in the cities and towns.

Yup. On top of that, the character feels really heavy. Or the camera control, just feels awkward. It's like they did everything wrong since Fable1.

Turn off vsync in the game and use D3DOverrider to force vsync and triple buffering.

i fixed it now i get 60 fps and more. i turned on vsync in nvidia control panel, turned off vsync in the game, and also disabled 3d vision in the nvidia control panel. this seems to have helped. all my issues were probably due to me using a 120hz 3d monitor. it is strange that in some games while having 3d vision enabled , however not using it, it **** up the fps tremendously, this happened in the witcher 2 .

Yeah the game's vsync caps at 30 fps. For some reason I thought you had an ATI card (thus the D3DOverrider suggestion). Last time I checked, at least, you can't force it in ATI's control panel.

Now your in for another sucky game, based off looking at your sig. :P

Topic: I still haven't played Fable 3 yet. So far from critics and fans, looks like another disappointment compared to the original.

It's not too bad a game. I wouldn't say it's particularly worse or better than the first... People like to bag on it though for some reason.
