The System requirmenst have been released as of yet however if you can play Medieval 2 well you should be able to play Empire:Total war On low at the very least.

That's great because I have got Rome, Barbarian Invasion, Alexander, Medieval I and Viking Inavasion and I'm getting Medieval 2 for my birthday so I cant wait for Empire

Did that really warrant a 2-month bump?

Pentium 4 3.06 GHz (Hyperthreading)
1.00 GB RAM
Geforce 7600GS 512MB

My computer is above the minimum requirements yet the game runs terribly.I turned all the graphic options as low as they can possibly go but it still runs horrible. What is the bottleneck for my specs? The only thing I can see that I might need to change is the ram, but the game seems to run on only about 512 MB in task manager...

Could be the CPU, actually. Even a single Core2 chip will be 4 times as fast as your Pentium 4. Old architecture you see: CPU PassMark scores: Intel Pentium 4 3.06 GHz (Hyperthreading): 458 Intel Core2 6600 @ 2.4 GHz: 1396 Clock speed across different architectures don't mean diddly.

I am deciding to buy a new graphics card for Empire, but I am deciding two different ones. A 8800GT or a 9400? I'm on a tight budget...what do you guys think?
#16 Posted by SecretMan12 (9 posts) -
Better yet, a 9600GT

Why don't we not resurrect ancient threads to bring up old arguments?

Better yet, a 9600GTSecretMan12

The 8800GT beats both, its basicaly the same as the 9800GT.

Forgot to say I have...

2.8 Ghz processor,

1 gb of ram,

Nvidia Geforce 7300 SE 512mb graphics card

Does anyone think it is worth getting this game or will it just be really slow and laggy and better to save for godfather 2 or Just cause 2 for XBOX????
