DVI-A is analog, DVI-D is digital. DVI-I can accept both DVI-A and DVI-D, but DVI-D cannot accept DVI-A.

most video cards have a dvi-i port. Most modern TVs have a dvi-d port. Correct me if I'm wrong. :?
