Did You Return to Planetside 2?

So Planetside 2 just released an optimization patch and so far it seems it has worked. The game is actually playable for me now. Also it feels like the hit detection is better.

So have you returned to Planetside 2?

I never played it to start with.

Is it like BF4 but in the future?

Think Battlefield, but 10x larger and it never finishes. It's an MMOFPS so you traverse on a large continent and participate in large battles that can consist of hundreds of players. Also 3 factions fight for the control points which can range from a small base to a large biodome.

It's free to play so have a go if you want.

honestly, the game is a huge cash grab.... and it gets pretty boring after a few weeks of play.

I'll give it one more optimization patch before I go back and try it.

@Geminon: Yeah I can agree with that but its not like you have to pay anything. i would say its best not to play the game very consistently either as it can feel a bit mindless. Play for a couple of days, leave, come back. Try not to burn yourself out.

Well I did return to it a month ago and actually could play it with my low end rig on medium with stable framerate unlike on release was only playable on lowest settings.

The performance boost is quite nice. I played it for a few hours.

That game is boring as hell. Played it for a few weeks then tapered a bit now I've given up on it for good. I really wonder if it's possible for me to enjoy an MMO of any sort...

I reinstalled it last week. Haven't gotten around to playing it again yet.

Not really. Performance was the least of my problems with the game.
