Did you get a gutted copy? If so, go back to the store, tell them what happened and demand a sealed copy.
Same thing happened to me when I bought it. You need to contact steam support. Make a ticket and all that. You'll then have to send a picture of the cd-key and of the receipt. Took around 5 days for them to resolve the problem, and that was during the winter sale, so I guess it'll be quicker for you.
thats the wierd thing, it was sealed up and everything, i usually never buy games there, and now i for sure never will againDid you get a gutted copy? If so, go back to the store, tell them what happened and demand a sealed copy.

Gamestop/EB Games are known to re-seal used games and sell them as new. A good friend of mine worked at one. That's why I don't really buy games from there anymore. I would return it, get a refund, and take your business elsewhere.

ya iv always heard rumors that they did that, dead island was the first game iv bought there in years, and it will be the last lolya its a widespread problem apparantly, even on the dead island site they metion it themselves in the support area of the website. ill still just blame eb tho lolIt has nothing to do with EB games...I had the same problem when I purchased my copy from newegg.
