Looks like I meet the recommended requirements so I'm good. The release is June 24 and Amazon seems to confirm. DRM seems to be Steam, no problem with me! =D

not very scalable it seems. but it is a port so such is life...

Not bad, at least single core is the minimum with a fairly cheap gpu of today.

Steam exclusive? I hate that!

Yet another game my P4 3.0 and x1950xt 512mb would barely run. Good thing I got the new rig when I did. I've heard it's an excellent game and I'd expect it to be even better on PC.

One of my friends was obsessed with the game on the 360 for a short while. Maybe I'll have to get it myself.

8800 GT minimum? Isn't that overkill? I mean for a simple porting job. Developers are getting really lazy. Unless it has some PC exclusive features its inexcusable.

another freeroam game like Prototype combined with God of War IMO

well, worth a try :)

question, how does Prototype works on your system?

I have a GTX 260.That's beside the point. The video card on a console is considerably weaker than 8800 GT. That is bad porting job.

PredatorRules
It's more like Zelda + GoW + Metroid...and it's an excellent game. Finished it on the 360 and was fantastic!

haha, well PC version should have AA option, and much larger textures resolution, and stuff like that you know when it comes to the PC from the consoles, unless as you've said the developers are lazy and didn't change anything like Star Wars Sith edition

Whats funny is the "8800GT/GT220" listing, as a GT220 in overall performance is considerably weaker than an 8800GT. Just Cause 2 and Metro 2033 listed the same cards as that. A GT220 is considerably more powerful than an ATi X1900, but it might be an ATi centric game, probably because it's ported from the 360 in the most likely case, though the Xenos is more like a unified shader ATi card, than fixed pipeline........... I have a feeling that this game might skimp on graphics options, except for the rudimentary screen, AA, AF options. I don't expect any better visuals outside of those settings. GT220 and X1900 make some sense as far as requirements go, 8800GT should be with the 3870 for recommendations unless the GT240 and 3870 recommendations are supposed to indicate DX10.1 support which would make some sense.

I think it has to do with what they tested with, nothing more nothing less. I don't think they have 7800s to test with these days. People also game at higher res on pc usually, so I can understand needing a slightly better gpu than what the 360 has to get 30 fps.

A good port like ME2 or Arkham Asylum will work on 6400 GT, that's my point. Graphics stay the same, but requirements keep rising. How much time before GTX260 becomes a norm for these **** lazy ports?

but they dont keep rising, ue3 keeps getting optimized but this isnt ue3. a gt220 isnt exactly a good video card, and they stop testing ancient video cards eventually you know. Not to mention, im 99% sure the graphics will scale higher on pc than on console.

well its not being ported by aspyr, we should be ok.

A GT220 is actually a good comparison to the 360's Xenos GPU. The GT220 will beat it in pure power but we got to take into account lack thereof when it comes to optimization. The GT220 makes perfect sense if there are few options as far as actual graphical effects are concerned.

Something is stinky here. The recommended Vga Gt240 performs lower ( alot lower ) than the supposively minimum 8800gt

Its called the oldest card they had to test. Maybe nvidia wants people to upgrade already lol.

From screenshots, it looks nicer but nothing jaw dropping. AA and a framerate higher than 30 fps is huge for me though.
