I currently have a Seagate 1TB 7200 RPM 6GB/s transfer rate. It's done pretty well so far in the 2 years+ that I've had it.

I have about 100 GB of free space left. I like to keep the games I've played installed as I tend to come back and play older titles. There's actually a handful of games that I've purchased on sale recently that I haven't even installed as I don't want to use of the remainder of my drive quite yet.

So it's time for a new one. Looks like HDDs are finally coming back down in price. Looks like I can get the same size I have now for about $68 USD. But I'm not sure if I should go bigger. I honestly didn't expect I'd ever fill up the 1 TB drive. I guess I underestimated all the DD sales :P

I'd appreciate your all's input.

Thanks :)

Games are only going to get bigger, may as well pick up a 2TB drive.

Don't go with anything less than 2Tb,you'll regret it.

I would say just get a 3TB cost more but you get more storage for dollar and you'll won't need to upgrade for longer games are going up in size after all.

Get a 3TB HDD. Companies are focusing on SSD's so its unlikely anything at a more consumer friendly price point (speed and price per GB) is going to be available for quite a long time. There are 4TB drives currently but they're just not worth it IMO. I have a couple of 3TB drives and a SSD.
