This is about the second time in a month this has happened my computer (gtx 780, core i7 with 64bit windows 7), has frozen and started playing a nonstop bleeping noise from my speakers. I've been using this computer for about 7 months now, and I have never had a problem before. Can't tell if this is a hardware issue, or if this is a new bug from recent windows/nvidia driver updates

This most recent crash, i was playing Remember Me and was on the QTE with kid x-mas, and i messed up the qte and died. i think its when it tried loading the last checkpoint, maybe? also when starting up steam again (i had to hard restart my computer), steam immediately started downloading an update. so i wonder if the combo of trying to load the checkpoint + steam starting a download could have done something unexpected? idk. Just wondering if anyone know what this could mean

Just sounds like a driver issue.

I would advise that you downloading something like HWMonitor and watch the temperatures religiously when playing a game

Is sound definitely coming from your speaks, not the motherboard?

My suggestion as @nutcrackr suggested to watch temps.

Beeping sound suggest that your MOBO reports on something wrong.

Does it give you any error?

I used to have this, not sure if i still do as im having issues with it and haven't got though to testing the games that caused the trouble. For me it was battlefield 3 and sleeping dogs and i was a very loud noise i had to restart the PC, I think either replacing the motherboard or PSU helped me but do not take advice from me in a hurry as i have not tested that the problem has even gone on mine
