Just to make sure that all of these are compatable, as well as a little advice on a Graphics card.

Processor: Intel i5 2500k 3.3ghz

Ram: Ripjaws 8gb- 1866

Motherboard: AsRock Z77 (intel)

Power supply: Bluestar 650 watt

HDD: Seagate 500gb

Graphics: Here are my choices: Radeon hd 7770 or the 6850. Not sure which one to get. I hear both good things and bad things about both and I kinda need a deciding factor. All I want is to be able to play my games without lag.

Thanks :)

I would pick a name brand psu, but with that psu I would choose the 7770, because it uses less power and is only slightly slower then a 6850

Is the CPU much cheaper than the 3570? Cos if its only a few bucks you are better off getting it with those other bits imo. Also if you are using a dedicated GPU save some money and get 1600 ram

How much would you say a brand name is worth? I mean...they all seem so much more expensive when it comes to pumping out the same amount of power. It's $20 vs. $89.

Okay. I was leaning toward the 7770, but I just wanted to make sure that my options were open.

It's only about $10 cheaper, but I kept reading about how great the 2500k was. And I'm trying to keep my budget down as low as possible. I mean, I'm getting all this for about $620.

Cheaping out on the PSU is a bad idea, plans to fry your whole PC.

For the sake of $10 get the 3570, if it was 50-100 fair enough, 10 honestly get the the 3570, and like i saíd save the money on getting 1600mhz RAM as u dont need 1866

Seeing as you are building a pretty good rig there, might want to go for a better graphics card, if you can spare the cash.

Looking good, and this leaves you in a good position for a nice GPU upgrade if you want in more or less 12-18 months

Looks good. Here's some cheap and good RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233144

Or if you're going to get an aftermarket heatsink, get this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220558

I may eventually, but right now I'm buying parts as I earn money, and that's tight! :) When I do, however, what would you recommend?

If you are getting the 7770 and are happy with the performance (or you can live with it for a few months) wait át least until q2 2013 which should see the release of the 8000 series cards. If you wanted a card today best bang for buck is prob the 7870, if you can afford it then the 7950 (which if you can be bothered can be oc to near 7970 rates) or 7970

^^ I agree with that. 7850/7870 are the best for what they offer considering the price. If you go higher, then it is 7970 vs GTX 670.
