cant group creatures in dungeon keeper 2

maybe its because i am playing game on laptop without numpads at the right side of keyboard, anyway i am pressing number 7 on keyboard when i am possesed creature in 1st person view, but other creatures near me are not hilighting, but if i want to manuvre among different attack modes by pressing 1 and 2 on keyboard keys, those keys are working properly so i assume thats not keyboards problem

Why don't you just hook up a mouse (wired or wireless)? I never game on a laptop without hooking up an external keyboard and mouse. They save the laptop from wear and tear.

but i have exteral mouse, attatched to my laptop via usb, and i dont know how to group these creatures
