I have a new ASUS with the following specs: Processor Intel Core i5-3210M CPU @ 2.50 GHz Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4000 Total Graphics Memory available 1696 MB Dedicated graphics memory 64 MB and Direct X10 Will I be able to run Skyrim? If not what would need to be upgraded to make it be able to?30Raider30
Did you try checking on Can You RUN It website? That'll probably give you a better gauge as if you can it ok. Just type in/scroll down to find Skyrim and see what the test tells you. With gaming on a laptop, this site I practically keep it bookmarked and I don't buy anything unless I know it passes.
Yeah I tried it but I found it to be unreliable because I did a test run on it with a game I currently run with a mix of high and medium settings and it told me I was unable to run it.Did you try checking on Can You RUN It website? That website is seen as notoriously unreliable around here.

not very well
nah, Skyrim's playable on my Lenovo U310 ultrabook and it has a low voltage Ivy Bridge chip. It doesn't look good, but its playable.I'm gonna say no because of the GPU. You need a proper video card to play Skyrim.

To answer your other question, nothing can be upgraded since its a laptop. So you can play it at low or medium settings @ 1280x720. At least that's what I can pull off on my laptop.

GPU performance is still around the same speed. You are not going to have a cpu bottleneck with that gpu.
I guess not, looks like medium @ 720p should run ok then. That's better than i expected.GPU performance is still around the same speed. You are not going to have a cpu bottleneck with that gpu.

Here, run this tool from System Requirements Lab and it will tell you whether or not you meet the minimum or recommended specifications and can run the program.

lol no ssytemrequirementslab is made by a bunch of morons and is 100% useless on a laptop, an amd APU based desktop or a desktop with a motherboard graphics chip of any sort. 100% unreliable. but they dont disclaim that anywhere. canyourunit is also guilty of this crime. Here, run this tool from System Requirements Lab and it will tell you whether or not you meet the minimum or recommended specifications and can run the program.
