You might be able to run in on the lowest settings. If you have a console then just get it for a console. You'll have a lot better experience playing it on Xbone/PS4 rather then on the lowest settings.
@zoisnearchou: i had a bad expirience with GTA 4, sys req said that it can be run nice on medium-high but i had to play on low (same with max payne3). I dont have good computer for GTA5 but expect lower peformance than it says. Or maybe its just my computer... Also try to check your system on game debate.
@zoisnearchou:
Honestly it's probably still going to be a better experience for you on the 360 then it will be on your computer. IDK I wouldn't risk the $60 if the game doesn't run well for you. Pick it up when it's on sale if you really want to try the FPS camera.

What computer do you have? Some games actually run better than the system req,Dirt3 was supposed to run on medium but i can run it on high with 30FPS
You already got some feedback but for quick checks I use Can You Run It. It only takes a few seconds to test your computer and it compares it against the requirements for the selected game. Sometimes even if it's below the requirements you might still be able to play it quite decently...it mostly depends on where it fails...if your cpu is a bit on the low side you might still pull it off but if your shaders requirement isn't met you're most likely out of luck.
It uses Java for the detection and Chrome has been having trouble with it, but still works fine with IE and Firefox...or you can always download their software to test it without java.
So i tried it,well i think the graphics can't go lower,im running on 1366x768 resolution windowed,and i get decent 30 fps
@thehig1: I used DX10 but i think i kept variety on around medium l,thanks for tip
the variety also lowers the FPS, if your already holding 30 though you all good enjoy, if your game is jumping a little above 30 and dipping to just below, set the v-sync to half.
This should help keep the game at 30fps more smoothly.
I lowered the graphics even more, also made some tweaks in the Nvidia Control panel and it's more smooth now,i wonder why im supposed NOT to run it lol
@MonsieurX@sSubZerOo This guy seems to have it working... 30 fps is good enough for my friend. He too doesn't care much for the graphics.
@MonsieurX Maybe for you it's not good enough. But seen from the point of view of a person who never saw 1080p, that's heaven.

I seriously wouldn't count on it doing well at all.. The 820m struggles to do above 30fps on the majority of the games at low settings with the notebookcheck benchmarks.. If you want my opinion, return it.. Spend $440 on a alienware alpha (which can play GTA5 at 1080p at high settings with 40 to 50fps, or 900p at 40 to 60fps) and get a cheap $200 laptop..
@sSubZerOo: Apart from gaming, how do you rate this laptop for it's $700 price tag?
Gaming wasn't the main concern of my friend's buy. It was supposed to be a bonus.
He's relatively new to the gaming scene. He told me that if GTA V doesn't work, he's okay with San Andreas.
Looking at notebookcheck.com benchmarks, A rough rule of thumb is the GT 820m having a bit over half the framerates my laptop can handle.
I'd say at 800x600 with lowest settings, GTA V should be somewhat playable...... Increase the resolution and forget it.
My lappy has a dualcore (HT) i5 3230m at 2.6-3.2 Ghz, 8Gb RAM, 2Gb GTX 660m, 1366x768.
