Can I run a Core 2 Duo?

Do I need a special motherboard other something?

Depends on what motherboard you have at the moment. Without knowing that we cant help im afraid.

Yeh, It depends if you motherboard supports C2D or not.

In most cases if the chipset supports a Pentium D, then it supports a Core 2 Duo. The chipsets supporting Core 2 Duo are 945P and up from Intel. For ATI or Nvidia chipsets, I'm not sure.

Oh, well it doesn't support it. Its not a very good Mobo though...
