buy the GTX 970 or should I wait for the AMD's 300 series?

My budget allows me to buy the Asus GTX 970 Strix edition and I'm also thinking of the AMDs next gpu's.

I would wait if you can hold off... But if you want one get a Gigabyte G1 or a EVGA SSC or FTW+ since they are voltage unlocked.

Here is what my FTW+ can do with an ASIC rating of 67%. 1469 Max Boost and 7400 Mem.

Avoid Asus IMO.

That depends on what you currently have right now? If you can't play or can hardly play games right now you should go for a 970 right away.

With the rumours going around about what the 300x series will be capable of, I'd wait. Still, if you got a 970 you'd probably be more than happy with it!

I think I should wait for the AMD 300X series. According to this site (rumour) the R9 380X should be 50% more powerfull then the R9 290X and the GTX970.
