Hello,

I was looking for a game pc and i found one.

- Intel i7 2600 3,4 ghz

- radion 6850 power

- 4 GB RAM

- 500 GB

Its not new and i can buy it for 320 €.

So my question is , is it worth the price and is it actually a bit of a good gaming computer?

Thanks in advance,

Miquel

Well I usually only buy used computer parts from people I know. Also that seems a bit expensive for those parts. maybe for ~200€......

it would be decent. Latest games around medium settings 1080p@60fps

Buy a console with that money unless you plan on taking that rig and upgrading it to 8Gb of RAM and new GPU.

@gmiquel: oh. I don't have any experience with streaming but I imagine it will be very demanding on the cpu.... I guess 290 isn't terrible. That's a pretty good cpu.

I don't know if you can hit the 60fps mark though. Perhaps someone else with more streaming experience can provide more insight.

In order to reach the CPU power alone you need at least around 250 euro today (for a new ofcourse) so, the deal is not bad.

What worries me, is that having a monster CPU with a low-end/midrange (back then) GPU, is a work from pre-built PCs.

I suppose it has a weak PSU too... As most people will say, the deal is not bad, but you will need an other 4GB RAM and maybe an R9 270 / GTX750ti, in order to be able to play games in good settings.

You can go even higher in the GPU if you want. This CPU will not bottleneck any of today's GPUs even the GTX980.

I've got a 6850 in my PC, and it still holds up okay, but that's with last-gen games. It can still play new games, but I assume most will play around medium settings.

Once development fully shifts over to the newest consoles it'll be outdated, but maybe that doesn't matter. It depends what games you are looking to play.

I'd be concerned with it being used, and I'm also not sure if that's a good price in euros.
