Anyone looking forward to playing a new Doom?! I missed Doom 3 when it came out so I'd like to play this one.

The game (just called Doom not Doom 4) is set on Mars, the UAC is involved, and there are shotguns. The game is also played old-school style, in that there’s no regenerating health or hiding behind cover to let your health regenerate.

It will be developed with consoles in mind and the lead designers favorite game of this generation is Call Of Duty.

Self explanatory.....

Hordes from hell? Demons shooting missiles at you? Intense melee combat? Gutting your enemies is procedural?

And more importantly

Doom 4 is everything you need from a Doom game. i dont think what you are moaning about it.

from what i have heard its Doom 3 with classic Doom gameplay in.

I must have been the only guy who didn't like Doom3 (apart from the next-gen graphics at that stage)

Most people hated Doom 3 (or at least loved complaining about it). I was a part of the minority, who actually did like it.
