Welcome to the Benchmark Thread. Here you can see where your machine ranks against other gamespot users. This is similiar to the
thread in the Custom Build PC union board but seems to have died off and here gets more traffic, so lets find out how you stack
up.

1. Download 3DMark 1.1.0 Basic from here:

http://www.guru3d.com/files_details/3dmark_download.html

pick the mirror closest to you, its around 1GB download.

1b. Download Catzilla 1.0 from here:

http://www.catzilla.com/download

2. Make sure VirtuMVP is disabled if you have it enabled.

3. Click Run all button for 3dmark. Run the 720p test for Catzilla.

4. post the result link*.

*If your cpu/gpu specs do not record/display properly then a shot from cpu-z/gpu-z is required for fair comparisons. (MSI afterburner can be used to get GPU clocks if necessary)
EG:
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/622208

My cpu didnt record properly for whatever reason, its at stock anyway (OC disabled). I believe I have mobo problems, just like my
ram says 1333 instead of 1600.
5. You can come back at any time and update your score if its better then your existing. You may have tweaked your OC's, RAM
timings, whatever, if its better then post away.

** Fire strike scores will be kept in the leaderboard, and updated below along with the main result link / specs for quick
comparisons.

*** Cloud Gate leaderboard is for older hardware(DX10). If you have a DX11 card you can either be one or both, this is up to you.

**** Ice Storm leaderboard is only for tablets and phones. I will not accept PC scores for this.

I will post mine once this version of 3dmark is downloaded and installed.  This is definitely a more scientific way of measuring e-peen than just comparing specs.

There's no way I'd be able to beat even half of the people on here, but I will post for the heck of it! :)

Score

Bit modest compared to scores that will be rolling in soon enough.

CPU is at 4.4. GPU is reported at 915MHz, but it's at 1150MHz boost.

GPU-Z reads my clocks wrong, dunno why.  Here's my Precision OSD though:

Does it report them correctly on the sensors tab? GPUz tells me my boost is 1115, but the actual boost is 1150.

Yeah, sensors tab seems to get it correct.

My first runthrough.  It's reporting my RAM at DDR3-1333 speed, although it's running at 1600mhz.  Confirmed with CPU-Z.

My GPU have been having this weird problem where they won't stay overclocked. I just use the slider in CCC which allows me to go up to 840/1325 but it never stays. Also, my RAM is 2133Mhz but the benchmark only recorded 1600.

Sure thing:

For the test, my GPU speeds were at 810/1250. I have been having this problem with Catalyst Control Center when I click apply it just reverts my clocks back to 810/1250. I haven't had any look as far as solutions go.

Maybe I'll try higher overclocks sometime, but this isn't too bad for what I got.

CPU: i5 2500k@5.0GHz, GPU: 2x HD7950 @ 1200/1650 Memory: 8GB (2x4GB)@1600MHz stock

Firestrike score: 11176 - Link for proof

Says Graphics Driver not approved, most likely because I'm using 13.5beta2 drivers. I always try to use the latest possible.

Screenshots of CPU-Z and Afterburner:

Yeah, I'm out of the race, fellas. My poor little 670 refuses to OC any further. :( I've considered flashing a custom BIOS, but it wouldn't benefit me outside of benchmark scores. Maybe I'll steal a couple Titans just so I can beat you.

different drivers possibly. could also be too much power for the bench, renders faster then it can show maybe seeing as its a mobile and notebook bench. not sure to be honest

Seriously, you guys are getting me hooked on this benchmarking stuff. Now, I want to do some upgrades lol.. all for e-peen. :-P Normally, I would never post benchmarks let alone run any benchmark tests.

Edit:  Patiently waiting for MITU's benchmarks. xD

Yeah, I might try to up my score, but 3DMark is a bit more stressing than some other benchmarks I've run so it may not make it through. I know I'll lose my 3rd place spot soon enough when other beefier systems start showing up.

Enjoying my spot while I can. :P
