Benchmark Thread - How do you rank against other GS users?

#1001 Posted by Horgen (110055 posts) -

1000W next step then? Or a 1200W PSU from Corsair? :P

#1002 Edited by Klunt_Bumskrint (3638 posts) -

@horgen123: I really can't at the moment. Oct/Nov/Dec I have to deal with 2 of my kids birthdays, my wife's birthday, my mother-in-law's birthday, my father-in-law's birthday then Christmas :(

#1003 Edited by Horgen (110055 posts) -

You're trying to make me feel sad for you?

Because honestly it is not working. You still got a computer that will play any game you throw at it at max. Only a wattage shortage in one single benchmark. I think you can wait until January for a new PSU :P

Or get it as a christmas gift from your wife :P

Pitty me people...........pitty me!

there's always a bigger fish . someone just around the corner .

I know how you feel . im trying to get into the 17000 club but im at 168ish im not sure whats holding me back . ill try later

#1006 Posted by Postmortem123 (7635 posts) -

@Postmortem123:

Maybe.

I've tried bettering my 17260 with my 780's but I have a sinking feeling that my PSU is not enough and I'm getting crashes when under load OC'd to the max, not too much OC crashes but aaargggghhh not enough power crashes.

With my CPU @ 4.7GHz, both 780's @ 1300MHz, 1 SSD, 3 x 1Tb HDD's, many fans and the rest of it I think it's all just too much for 850W.

But I don't game with them OC'd so it's not a huge problem, it's just stifles my benching. :(

Maybe? The average OC is around 1150Mhz :P

Ah that sucks. What PSU you got? Corsair TX850?

Ya

Ya

Hm, wouldn't think it would be a problem. I've ran GTX 480 SLI OC on mine :P

I wanna update my score http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/1487002

using the new beta drivers 13.11 v6

AMD FX-8350 @ 4.5Ghz

Radeon 7990 @ Core clock 1100Mhz - Memory clock - 1575Mhz

#1010 Edited by darksusperia (6899 posts) -

This forum just goes from bad to worse.

I spent 20 mins editing the OP's to update them this morning then it wont save!!!!. (whoops, something went wrong we are working on it)...

I have taken a copy of the entire leaderboard with the most recent edits and I will attempt to re-enter them later.

Again, I apologize.

#1011 Posted by Horgen (110055 posts) -

Thought the 7990 would score better than that.

I will have to re run 3dmark test, just notice my ram is at 1333, when it should have been at 2133, just fixed that will post it again soon.

Edit:

OK 3Dmark is reporting the GPU Clock right nor my Ram frequency right either anyway I boosted my score:

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/1522541

Since BF4 likes high speed memory I boosted my Sticks to 2133Mhz even tho 3DMarks keeps saying its 1333Mhz, had to lower the CPU OC tho =( has soon has I OCed the memory the CPU OC got unstable so had to clock it down to 4.6, no biggie since it seems the higher memory improved my score in 3DMark.

Cheers

it's so sad that these demo only unitize 3 out of 4 cores from my GTX690SLI, or I'd be among world's top 20 hell of framer in this benchmark.

still > 99.99% PC gamers in the world (OCed my CPU so got higher score than yesterday)

Here we go..... even tho the GPU says 1280 on EVGA Precision, it actually averages at 1248 Mhz, 1280 Mhz is just the Max Boost.:

Thought i'd revive this thread with my new Nexus 5 :D

EDIT: I thought there were phone benches in this thread, have I got it mixed up with another one?

#1019 Posted by Klunt_Bumskrint (3638 posts) -

So safe to say that the Nexus 5 is a beast then.

#1020 Posted by Horgen (110055 posts) -

Or the bench isn't designed for so powerful hardware.

#1021 Edited by kraken2109 (13005 posts) -

Well I'm loving it so far.

A fairly big upgrade from my ZTE Blade (600mhz single core ARMv6)

Kraken, this is the right thread, its below the Cloud Gate LB. You're #1

#1023 Posted by Horgen (110055 posts) -

I wanted a better scored.. Tried adjusting voltage with MSI and OC more... Results was artifacts and computer seemed to freeze =/

#1024 Posted by Klunt_Bumskrint (3638 posts) -

I know we don't do the Firestrike Extreme preset but I thought I'd throw this in here if anybody wants to compare. ( no need to make a board )

#1025 Posted by kraken2109 (13005 posts) -

@darksusperia: I see it now, it's because it didn't have a nice header image like the others ;)

Will compete with my 680 at stock settings... Will post it in a few hours :P

#1027 Posted by Horgen (110055 posts) -

Since it doesn't look like my previous post will show...

Extreme preset with small OC, regular with bigger OC

#1028 Posted by Jeffe65er (9 posts) -

OC back on and re-test, but I'm too lazy.

#1029 Edited by darksusperia (6899 posts) -

@horgen123: Can you please provide the details of the OC. As the 3dmark page doesnt seem right? you said bigger reg OC but link is less then your original run but with higher score.

@kraken2109:

header images for leaderboards have been fixed.

#1030 Edited by kraken2109 (13005 posts) -

Ran 3dMark on my PC again. GPU is still at stock, but is happily boosting to 1124mhz (click on image for full size and see max value next to core clock).

I would love to, but the print screen button freezes my computer... For reasons I don't understand.

7706 on firestrike

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/1664518

haven't OC'ed the cards yet.

And you have already beaten my score with 300+ points D=

On a side note. My score used to be "Better than 80% of all results", now that has fallen down to 79%...

@horgen123: Time to upgrade :P

I really want too, but I will wait until 20nm cards from both AMD and nVidia has been released. And if the current pricing continues, it will be something ala 390 from AMD or 390X with a waterblock on it. The nVidia GPU costs to much imo when I'll fix both heat and noise levels anyway on the card.

I don't what to do. Maybe SLI???

But oh wait, the only 680 that is sold here is a MAC edition version of the card that costs more than the 780...

Well sold in the biggest PC-components store...

Latest drivers and a bump on core & memory clocks pushed me over 10K.

www.3dmark.com/3dm/1699724

Clocks:

Ran 3DMark on the Blade 14. 1/4 the score of my desktop, lol.
Don't think I'll be doing that again. GPU got up to high 70s and the CPU up to an eye-watering 94°c. Probably should have put it on the cooling pad.

Yep. Makes me wish I paid that bit more to get the OC variant, when I got my first 670.

Whoever said paying more for out of the box overclocked cards is a waste of money.

Yeah it would, but also require a new waterblock and more tubing. :P
