My friend has a Microsoft membrane keyboard and he said it has zero ghosting when holding down 4 or 5 keys, just like a mechanical keyboard. He said there is no difference. He sent me a screenshot from some Microsoft site showing him holding down like 5 keys at once and said "look no ghosting" could someone explain the difference?

Yea there isn't ghosting on either. Its completely separate from what type of keys your using.

I use an old keyboard probably from the 90's or early 2000's and still kick butt in Team Fortress 2 :). Its like you can have the fastest car in the world but the driver is what makes a car drive.

Ghosting is'nt related to the type of keys used, it's related to how many signals the KB can pass "at once".

Depends what keys you are pressing

try pressing i, j, and k

if they don't advertise no ghosting, then they ghost

@sethman410: The ability for multiple keys to be pressed at once with it reading all of them instead of the last one pressed or the first one pressed. (I dont know why some old non-ghosting keyboards were the first key and others were the last.)
