After a few SweetFx touches, I was able to remove that vanilla brightish filter put over Black Flag By Ubi.

I used K-putt'e Config 1.1 preset that you can download here

And this is a result.

The screenshot are at 1080p, open them in new tabs, ZOOM IN and compare. The difference is HUGE at 1080p.

For me, it´s the most beautiful game to date.

I love the colors in this game!

I really don't see a huge difference. In some of the later pictures the steam looks more detailed.

Oh, no. The steam looks the same. It´s just you can´t capture the same shot for both Vanilla and SweetFx as steam is an dynamic effect.

I don't see a problem with stock AC3, but I have used SweetFX for other games..

For instance, SweetFX is a must for Medal Of Honor (2010). Vanilla MoH has no AA, so a ton of jaggies, and the colors are washed out, so textures and colors look like crap. SweetFX fixed every issue...

The colors are different, that's the main difference I see. But I actually like the vanilla colors more.

Anyway, I just finished the first Assassin's Creed and am now playing the second one. Those games still look great to me :)

Sorry I have been brain dead today from working 2 all nighers.............. Looking at it closer I see more detail in the character for sure.

Yeah it seems to make the brights brighter, and the darks, darker.

Just some post processing

I like over saturated colors generally, so it's fine by me.

Sweetfx is amazing, but i think you could improve it even further with some more messing around. but no doubt the sweetfx helps add more depth to the game even with those settings.

i wish sweetfx worked for 100% of the games, some just don't work with it. I haven't been able to get path of exile to work with it, and it needs it badly with its blurry graphics.

Meh. Not a fan of color saturation. Takes the richness away from the picture.

If you have an IPS monitor you can see the difference, and it does help some it makes the color go from cool to warm.

In most cases I'd agree with ya! But for AC4 in particular, it gives it a good amount of color saturation that isn't over done like we see in other games like Skyrim. I've also noticed that with SweetFX, it looks more crisp and less muddied. And I'm not seeing things. It's clearly obvious. But in motion, it won't matter to even the biggest graphics junkie. :D

It's...ok, not a very pretty game to begin with. Tweak it some more, I'd make the image sharper, colors are ok.

Looks plainly overdone to me in the screenshots provided. Color saturation doesn't make the game look better to me in the slightest degree, and if anything it makes it look slightly worse and more cartoonish. But everyone's got their own tastes. I like to go with the artistic vision the developer's had in mind - I don't really need to put my own spin on it. That's why I use studio monitors for speakers. I like neutral colors, neutral sound. Feels more lifelike to me.

do you even know what "richness" means? higher color saturation would add MORE richness to a picture....

ENGLISH MOTHERFUCKER... DO YOU SPEAK IT?!?

there is nothing to misinterpret in my statement.

richness describes something being of a higher intensity or amount.... more color = more richness.... english is hard i guess?

Insulting me doesn't make you any less wrong.

But it's quite funny to see how 'wut' warranted such a reaction from you XD

Yup. That's true. I agree. It's the reason why I put in like 80 hours of Skyrim, all vanilla, no visual mods.

i dont need to insult you to be right, because i AM right.

Richness: the property of being extremely abundant... more color=more richness

insulting you is just a side benefit because i enjoy pointing out when people are being idiots. needless to say i feel pretty good right now.

You fail at English so hard dude. Everyone knows rich has multiple different meanings. But even by your own meaning, your definition makes no sense. Richness isn't "the property of being extremely abundant in color" Einstein. Color has absolutely no reference in the definition. Adding saturation adds richness to the color, but takes richness away from the picture. What I said is 100% what I meant (and is correctly worded).

I don't know if you're just a pointless troll, or if you haven't graduated high school yet. For all we know, you could be 11 years old. It's the best we can guess, at least. You have plainly demonstrated to every one in this thread that you barely grasp English, let alone have an authority on it on these forums. You don't know the first thing about English.

none of this makes any sense.... at all. you cannot add richness to a picture, and take away at the same time.

the definition stands.... more color = more richness. get mad that you were proven wrong in yet another thread KHandAnime.

After you take a few more LA classes, it will start to click. We aren't responsible for your education on English and ability to communicate with others. My best advice is to read and reread so you understand what people have to say before you start pounding apishly on that keyboard of yours.

SweetFX and other DX injectors can make some games look better, but often all they do is expose shoddy texture work which would otherwise be less noticeable.
