A new Lord of the Rings RTS?

Last I heard EA had the rights to the Lord of the Ring franchise renewed so they can make one if they wanted to. I know there are the following games

Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth
Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth 2
Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth 2: The Rise of the Witch-King.

Is there another game or expansion planned? Or is all of their attention on Command & Conquer 3?

Both LOTOR and C&C3 use the same engine right?

Also how popular is Battle for Middle-Earth still when it comes to online play?
