Its gona boost your performance, but that processor change wont do much.

so truelly theres no point in processor changer and i heard the 8800 lineup does the cpu work instead of useing the actull pc cpu is this true.

No, with a better CPU youll have better performance.

so with 3.4ghz you think its worth upgradeing to that? and as for the 8800gts it wont bottle neck at current setup but with 2 gigs of OCZ ram?

In my opinion no, i would go for core duo 2.
The only bottlenecking is your cpu.

It will severely bottleneck your CPU and half of that GTS will go to waste

Fo sho man, Pentium D's suck. If you can save up for a E6300 and OC, or a E6400 and OC. Cause thatll be some major bottle neckage, but then again, its pointless if your getting a quad-core..

Quad Core isn't pointless, it's a bit more future proof than dual core. Games like crysis and alan wake are sure to take advantage of it.

He said it's pointless in saving up for a dual core if the guy's getting a quad core not long after that.

What processor do you have now? Just get a crappy Pentium 4 to last you until an E6600. :P
