i built my computer, 2.66ghz core 2 duo, 8800gtx, 2 GB ram, 250 GB harddrive.. ect..

i did the 3dmark06 and i got a 9822.. it said i pretty much did the worst compared to other people that have a similare system.

my question is for people who have used 3dmark06.. my computer was getting about 30-60 fps average for all the demos but one.. it was the one where you are flying away from this cavern looking thing(it had a small map/radar in the bottom right corner of the screen)... i think it was the 3rd demo.. anyways that one lagged HARD. i got 0-1 fps... it dint even look like it should be stressing my computer at all compared to the other demos... anyone else have this problem? thanks

It is the CPU test, it renders the entire scene with your CPU.

Its goes 0-1 FPS because its putting stress on the CPU, all people get around 1 fps on the CPU Test. Also that score is normal I got 10162 in 3dMark 06 and we have similar specs.

Yup, mine was doing that too. Even when I OCed and got 17,802, that test stayed at 1fps, I saw it go to 2-3 fps a couple of times.

dude ther is no computer avaliable to the public (that i kno of) that can run that particular demo well. i get 0-1 fps also it is normal. also y other people are getting better score is that they overclock ther processors (the biggest difference in 3d mark is ur processor the hole system is very processor heavy) so and graphics cards. if u really want a better score read up on everclocking and get a better hsf or water cool ...

10162 over 9822 is THAT much higher. Yes, every little bit you can OC the CPU helps in 3DMark06. It is very CPU intensive.

Me?  Naahhh.  I just have a puny 'ol Dell.  I have no idea what I am talking about.

(Pardon the sarcasm, its not directed at you. :D )

Head on over to the Overclocking Union Forum to learn more.  A bunch of very nice folks over there.  That link is for a thread with alot of good info, and guides starting on the third post down.

I'd rather recommend you visit different forums (like Overclockers and XtremeSystems) then this union.
