This monitor:

looks like a pretty good deal. With Black Friday/Cyber Monday in a couple months, I was wondering if monitors like this go on cheap sales, or if this is likely to be nearly as low as I'll find.

Does anybody have any 1440p monitor suggestions?

Also, does anybody have any experience with non "pixel perfect" buys?

Go with either Asus, BenQ, Dell, LG or Samsung

Try to get IPS monitor with 5ms.

So I recommend either Asus or BenQ

That is a good monitor for the price. Hell I would buy it now if I already didn't have a 1440p/120hz IPS display. That monitor has a Samsung AHVA panel with 4ms response.

Don't expect much of a price drop during Black Friday though. Those monitors are sold and shipped from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, or China/Hong Kong. Their not American retailers, so don't expect a HUGE price deal....maybe a few bucks if any.

I'm using the Asus Pb278Q and I love the it. When I got it it was the lowest price for it's performance range besides some off shoot brands that I had zero luck with. So it's no 1 or 2ms response time it's 5ms but damn thing looks gorgeous so no complaints from me. I'm sure newer versions with gsync are here or around the corner. That is what you want, as it will get rid of screen tearing 100%
