Nope.. No good for games... it's a 3D rendering workstation card... Actually it might work.. But it's not worth the extra money...

Plus in games an 8800 GTX is cheaper and would beat the tar out of it..

Huh? that's a Fire GL not a R600... That's like the Quadro cards from Nvidia...

FireGL are ATi's workstation graphics cards. The good news is that these still receive a three-year warranty from ATi (everything else only gets one year from them now). The bad news is the driver would be horribly unoptimized for gaming. No, cards like the FireGL from ATi or the Quadro from nVidia are meant for high-precision, high-detail graphics rendering. It'd be a beast of a card for applications like Maya, 3D Studio Max and AutoCAD, but it'd probably perform worse than a Radeon 9000 in Half Life 2. What strikes me though is how oddly low the VRAM amount is... I thought FireGL cards were up to 1GB of video memory?

yeh, im pretty stupid when it comes to workstation grafix cards, im more into gaming hardware..i suppose 8800gtx is still the best gaming card
