Hey this is my first post on this site and looking for a bit of advice.

Looking for a mid range gaming PC build. Looking around the £600 price mark so I know I'm not going to get a high end machine.

But just looking for advice really on what to look for.

I have a copy windows so not needed to be added to the cost and also a 2tb HDD.

Thanks

Well with the recent launch of the AM4 platform I have to do some research before I can recommend specific hardware for a budget build.

Definitely get an SSD to run your OS on (this is basically a must). A video card on the level of the Nvidia 1060 6GB should be a good place to start to get 60fps+ at 1080p on High-Ultra settings.

Chose a mobo with the features you want - can be a cheapo, but read reviews.

CPU should be at least 4 core (probably an i5 on the Intel side). You can probably use the stock cooler or an EVO 212 if you want a bit more cooling.

Cheapo RAM and case.

PSU from reputable manufacturer (EVGA, Seasonic, etc) with good reviews, at least 500W+

If you can wait until march AMD's new cpu architecture is coming out and that will give you more options and price cuts on other cpus.

A good place to look would be pcpartsbuilder.com. They have previous builds and they have an expansive list of parts to tell you what parts are compatible.
