Your most hated kind of arguers?

Here's my list

1) The sympathetic debater. This person will claim that your thinking is flawed, when it's not, and tell you that he or she is doing this for your own good. That he or she cares for you and wants to see you change for the better.

2) The putty debater - When pointed out that this person's logic is indeed off-topic or wrong, they will try to chain some of their points to something relevant in the argument, to claim a case of misunderstanding or an equal difference in point of views

3) The Ad Hominem debater - When they are winning (or think they are) they will use an unecessary amount of insults to belittle you further.

The people that won't drop something when you try to end the arguement peacefully.

The ones with Sloth avys.

The ones that are Idiots. I am sure this will top the poll.

The kind that ignore your evidence or try to use it to prove either you wrong or them right.

The ones that insult a person instead of debating in the first place. Don't attack me if your losing and/or winning. Leave...MgamerBD

People that attack or insult you. If you don't agree with what I have to say, that's fine. Please explain why. But what's with the personal attacks or insults? Not sure how that helps the argument. I think some people dont know how to argue if they arent putting somebody down. It usually means their frontal brain is very small and dominated by the more emotional parts of the brain.

People like DroidPhysX who resort to trying to troll you/making short, vague messages instead of actually attempting to debunk your arguments.

The appeal to ridicule debaters.

Simple - people who don't directly respond to points or directly answer questions. In other words, you ask a question, and they respond with a tangent. Politicians do this all the time.

I do all of these.

ones that are arrogant with some sort of pride to think their right when they are wrong and dont bother to look into and learn more on the subject at hand

Personal attackers. I will attack ideas, and I'm guilty of vehemently expressing my opinion on those ideas, but I try not to attack the person themself.

Im kind of the "sympathetic debater". I totally appeal to emotions and put a lot of stock in them.

Definitely the ones who attack your being, not your argument, are my least favorite. People who lack a moral side, really bother me. Because they can't be reasoned with... "just the facts" isnt enough for me.

The one's that think they are so smart and witty, and usually make super long comments. AKA Facebeef

This, also, the ones who start an argument, then when you go to make your argument, they say "I don't care!". Well, then, don't start an argument.

Those who pick on grammar and look for minor details to pick on rather than actually arguing about the topic.Aquat1cF1sh

Because I doubt it is factual that their frontal brain is small.

Not that I have tested my brain but my problem if I'm not mistaken is that I get irritated easily. That's when I throw insults. But perhaps sonicare can fill us in on if that is linked to brain size.

The ones who are more stubborn than they are rational. And idiots.

People who hate to admit when they are wrong on when the other person has made a good point are usually the worst debaters.
