All my friends carry combs in their pockets, which I think is funny (I call them metrosexuals and they get butthurt). My hair won't conform to any standard (it's thick, full-bodied with a couple of cowlicks) so I brush it out after a shower, run a brush through it before I leave anywhere, and that's that. The wind does the rest.

Combs make my hair go haywire anyway (my head has enough static charge to power a floundering Carnival Cruise ship) so I don't even bother with owning one. Mousse makes my hair crusty and dull, and I've had enough compliments on how soft and bouncy my hair is from the lady crowd that I don't bother. It's short enough I just run a hand over it and what doesn't lay down won't lay down anyway, so screw it.

How much attention do you give your hair? Are you one of those people where every strand has to be in its place, or do you brush the kinks out and carry on?

Nothing. Back when it was longer I used a very coarse comb, but since I got it cut, I no longer need a brush or comb. If I use any gel or something similar, I just use my fingers.

Hmm...well for the sake of discussion, back when I was a crazy kid with long hair in high school, I always had a comb with me.

My hair is always fairly short. I use the Axe styling gel stuff just to make sure it's not puffy when I finish drying off.

No, just the straight-up everyday plastic pocket combs.

Comb it. I have to to look presentable.

I comb it right after I get out of the shower to make sure it doesn't knot, but after that I leave it to fend for itself. Commander-Gree
