Your favorite Melodeath melodies?

Basically I'm just here to look for recommendations since I've only just found the courage to listen to those growls and them melodic guitars. So far, I'm in love with Insomnium's work. I've been listening to them since May, but in the beginning I only liked their songs which had clean vocals in them. But now, after listening to a few of their other songs, I can say with a 100% certainty that I can listen to melodic death metal songs.

So what are your favorite melodies from this genre?

I like that one so much I got the t-shirt for it.

Amon Amarth would really be the only melodic death band I know anything about.

Folk and pagan type metal also uses a lot of melody if that's of any interest.

Early At The Gates, In Flames etc. are all pretty damn good. Otherwise Opeth is in a way pretty melodic, though it's not melo-death. The most "melodeathy" album they have is probably Still Life.

Otherwise my favorite melodeath tracks:

Ignore the pretty bad clean vocal intro on Twilight, otherwise it's my favorite piece of melodeath, even if the production is iffy. If you like this try other Swedish Death Metal bands, they all sound pretty much like this, though the melodies are less pronounced. But Entombed, Dismember and Bloodbath to a certain degree all have similar elements. My favorite bit most of the time is the massive guitar tones.

Otherwise, I'm not really the biggest melodeath fan.

Ah forgot Hypocrisy, pretty neat if you can get by the goofy alien lyrics/themes lol

But the melodies and stuff are spot on, especially the way the interweave with the vocal melodies.

WTF is "melodeath"? I personally hate metal music in any form, but that's one man's opinion.

Are you sure you've sufficiently sampled the sub-genres? Metal is pretty diverse.

Outside of Led Zeppelin, if you'd really consider them Metal, I'm not really a fan. I can't even listen to Black Sabbath. I'm more a Classic Rock and 90's grunge kind of guy.
