Cliche response, but Hawai'i I guess? If only for the snorkeling.
I do love my rock-and-sand beaches of Northern California, though. Tidepooling is much fun!
@SOedipus: What part?
@gripaddict: No offense but that looks like a very average beach here.
I don't really have a favorite beach just beaches I don't like. I've been up a down Qld/Nsw beaches. I don't like sunshine coast beaches because the water stings your skin and NSW beaches generally are dirty. D'Aguilar National Park (QLD) has crystal clear water it's my favorite swimming spot though and not a beach.

Along Surfer's Paradise. I've been all over but Surfer's is the most memorable, since I spent so much time there. It was only a 15-20 minute tram ride away. I have a lot of good memories hanging out with friends. I really love how to the east you have all natural ocean, and behind you it's all towers that go along as far as the eye can see, north to south. It was gorgeous at night. I also liked how it could be pretty dead in the winter and I found that the weather was still bearable so I had a lot of it to myself at times.
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was the first time I ever saw the ocean, I was three or four years old.
Monterey Bay, California was just down the hill from the barracks, when I was going to language school in the army. I could just walk down the hill and walk along the beach.
Wenoah Head, New South Wales. Because you don’t travel to the other side of the freakin’ planet and NOT jump in the ocean.

My 2 local beaches I go to most here on the Central Coast in Australia, are called Catherine Hill Bay Beach & Frazer Beach... they're both pretty amazing (as are most beaches in Aus).
motu tapu, tiny little private island in the bora bora atoll. the beach is small but the location is stunning. got to spend a few hours there alone w/ my wife and 1 other couple back in '13
Nice!
I took a drive up CA Route 1 from Santa Barbara to San Francisco a few years ago. What a beautiful place. We drove north of SF to Muir Woods and there's a tiny, really foggy beach near a weirdly isolated German pub named The Pelican Inn.
I drive on the 101 all the time. It's definitely one of my escapes on days when I just wanna have a cruise up/down the California coastline.

Probably one of the more pleasant drives you can take in North America. There's so much to see, so much to visit, so many places to eat and towns and cities to stop in.
I've driven it before just for fun, but some day I'd like to spend a few days driving up the coast and stopping at a few places. Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Santa Cruz, Big Sur, Monterey, etc.
