While I'm still pissed at the loss of several active boards (a few unions, sports board, etc...), I like some of the new features. I'm dieing to test the new embed tweet feature. I just need to find one to embed. >_>

What new features do you guys like?

Wow... Am I the only one trying to be optimistic about this change? I mean, I'm hoping they put some of the boards back. The layout sucks but it's okay. My complaints were mostly a knee-jerk reaction.

Ehhh...It will take a long time to get used to this.

Embedding Tweets sounds like a cool feature, I'm not sure if the people who frequent the GameSpot forums actually like Twitter (I'm leaning towards no).

Weird, you would think there would at least be a link to it. They are probably doing it so that the page doesn't take so long to load...maybe it's just OT that is against most social media sites...

Any drastic change will be weird for a while as people adjust. That's to be expected. There are a few features of the old site that I want back like the unread count on topics that let me click it and go right to the next unread post and I'm looking forward to people getting their user icons back because I honestly only knew people by those ha.

I'm willing to give it time though and after I've adjusted to the new, then I'll make my decision on whether this was a good move or a waste of time.

Overall, I don't care for it, so far. Seems more difficult to navigate than the old site. The fact that the avatars/images are so difficult to deal with is really inexcusable. I gave feedback about this even, during the beta, but whatever...I could really do without all the social media crap, but that is expected.

It's not all bad though, I like the look of the profile pages better and the forum design is growing on me. This needs to be given time though, they'll make changes as it goes along and I'm sure I'll get used to it as time goes along and maybe even grow to prefer it.

You have to look in your friends feed on your profile, and somehow locate the blogs among the tons of posts and pictures. Basically, you kinda can't.. -___-

Well, Firefox kinda hates this site now since it keeps harassing me with "do you want to leave this page?" prompts constantly.

Probably just gonna use this site today and call it an eternity.

So instead of having a feed of just friends blogs on our profiles like we did before, we're now supposed to go to everyone's profiles and check if they made any new blogs? And you find this acceptable?

I'm still unable to change my avatar photo. If I click on the shit default one to change it, I just redirects me to the top of the page. If I click on the change photo buttons nothing happens.

@DigitalDame: How about bringing back the sports board, unlocking the Legacy board or making it so we can jump to the last read/first unread message? Those are pretty much some of the main issues more or less right now but thanks for replying.

@DigitalDame: I'm really glad to hear that! Can you also bring back the "replied" icons, and the First unread post button? Navigating the forums is really hard without them.

Did I say it was acceptable? No. I was just providing a workaround for until the issue is resolved.

The site itself looks great. I like the main page with the articles etc. It looks clean and I like that. The forum however will need major tweaking to bring them to the level they need to be. I do believe that they will change stuff around here as time goes on. As far a lot of the other features I never used them anyways.

So if any of you site devs are reading this a good start would be to do something with that almost useless side bar and make the forums fit the screen.

I don't mind the forum layout and the quotes are not so bad, one can quote more than 3 people without the software screwing them up.

There still is plenty of bugs that need fixing as the scripts that run how buttons work are not working. I cannot post images though others can with a work around. Pages also load slow. It seems as though the servers are getting overloaded or something which is strange unless there are so many people checking out the new GS that its overloading them which I kind of doubt.

Tried to register at Neogaf, those elitist fuckturds required a paid email address to be able to register at their site. Apparently its a strategy to reduce trolls and raise the quality of their members. **** u (in Dutch rofl)

I like the user profiles a bit more. Posting is easier now. Nothing else really jumps out at me, the changes are generally unimpressive and I miss Unions. I'd like to see more boards on the front page too...

I haven't find a feature I like yet.

honestly. nothing. there is nothing i like about it so far. Maybe once they actually have stuff working the way its supposed to I might find some changes i like.

I can't stay on here more then that because of the new layout is bad. It's like it was designed by a 14 year old.

The only good thing I can say about the new site is that it looks nicer. Everything else is either the same, meh, removed, or just flat out broken.

Edit: I forgot to mention the LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG and PAINFUL load times and I can't post using FireFox.

I can't remember if it was there before, but I just noticed an "insert video" option in the reply box. Pretty neat.

Other than these 2 things, I haven't found anything else I really liked.

Hopefully the rest of the boards get replaced.

I am just glad that gamespot has finally accepted the fact that people have monitors with higher res than 1024X768.

The quick reply thing. It actually works now, unlike on the old site.

I still think the boards look like absolute garbage, but the feature set in the profile is nice.

I as well do enjoy the reply buttons, they're pretty slick. I'm still getting used to everything else though. So far it doesn't seem as awful as everyone is saying.

Is there any way to see what topics you have already posted in? I mean..it is such a key feature, I am only hoping I stupidly have it turned off or something...
