Women live longer than men? true or false?

I don't see truth to this that women live longer than men... men die faster cuz they drink too much alcohol. IMO

The leading cause of death in most first world countries is heart disease.  Female hormones such as estrogen have a protective effect against that.  Once a woman is post menopausal, she loses that protection, but that still adds up.

I don't see truth to this that women live longer than men... men die faster cuz they drink too much alcohol. IMO

Yeah it's true. I know this is fact because TV created a show highlighting it. The show is called Snapped, on the Oxygen network. In the show the wives kill their husbands.  The show will have plenty of episodes because they kill men. 

In my personal experience I know this to be true.  The TV hasn't told me the percentage, but the husband is usually the first to die.  I can only assume that they did it.  They're not in prison is because there is no proof, yet.  All it would take another network, preferably a male dominated one, like ESPN, to come out with a new show that highlights the investigation in getting this evidence.  It's there!  I just don't have the funds to produce a show myself.  I'll make a kick starter.

All you have to do is take a look at the life expectancy at birth for both, women usually have a 5-15 year advantage on us.

Interesting how 150 years ago women had less rights and lived shorter lives. Now men have less rights in practically every area and now live shorter lives. dkdk999

Women live longer because men lead lives that cause them to die sooner.  For instance over 90% of workplace fatalities in the US are men.
