Obama isn't the only president who authorized air strikes against suspected terrorists. The only difference between him and previous presidents is UAVs can do the same thing as a fighter jet only without somebody in the cockpit.

Obummer? Nope.

Obama is not a good president and history will judge him thus.

It's not because he's black he's a good president (I'm white as snow btw)

He's a good president because he's intelligent and has common sense, he also has ethics and tries to provide stability. Apart from that he's just a cool guy.

I'm from western europe and obama is simply a good man

People like that should always be in power, the only bad thing is

is that in 3 years you americans gotta choose a new president.

I hope you got some nice candidates.

You don't love your presidents if you live in America..

#16 Posted by JimB (166 posts) -

He is a good president if you look at his accomplishments; the destruction of capitalism (economic freedom), making sure we are not a superpower, increasing the national debt more that all the other presidents combined, increasing the the number of people on food stamps to its highest level ever, increasing the number of people not working to over fifty percent, greatly increasing the size of government, destroying the health care system, shredding the constitution every chance he gets, never governing always campaigning, made our country a laughing stock in the eyes of the world. Thanks to him we have no true allies. We have to go to Russia if we want to travel into space. Yes he has been very good. We as a country are no longer respected. The world community may not have liked George Bush but they sure as hell respected him.

Keep telling yourself that. "He holds office as a public servant."

Eventually..it'll come true.

As usual someone from another country buying into his public image of not being another white guy and representing some kind of end to racial tensions.

Come live in America, you'll probably feel different about his attempts to turn us into a socialist country.

This has nothing to do with race.

A hybrid of socialism/kapitalism is the only government that works.

History has proven it.

The only downside is , that it's a lot more difficult to become rich. It's also a lot more difficult to become poor.

In the end , if you keep on embracing kaptilasm, the poor will retaliate, since the poor will always be outnumerbing you, they will win in the end.

I rather prefer a safe place to live and have moderate wealth

instead of bing filthy rich and worry about my safety.

Not to mention it's not moral when other people have nothing and you have everything.

There was a time that I would have argued vehemently with you. That time is past. The "American Dream" literally is capitalism.

Can I assume you're from France?

There was a time that I would have argued vehemently with you. That time is past. The "American Dream" literally is capitalism.

Can I assume you're from France?

No i'm not from france.

The american dream is capitalism, I can understand that.

but the mechanisms won't change, whenever there's a shortage of basic needs, people will resort to uncivilized actions to get those basic needs. Capitalism always makes the rich richer, and the poor poorer which is not only bad for economy but in the end they will outbreed you and they will retaliate , it's human nature.

However, when there's not capitalism, there's no progress , no innovation, no motivation and for a lot of people, no reason to live. That's why communism or a pure social system doesn't work either, not to mention all the power is with the governement and people will retaliate too.

The hybrid does work, the only problem is that the better part of the world has to follow a similar system, otherwise you will get unfair competition at first but it won't last because capitalism is not sustainable.

Not only that, you can enrich yourself aswell because there's still capitalism, only it won't be as easy as in a pure capitalistic system. On the other hand, you will have less problems with theft and crime, because people have their basic needs and can enjoy the benefits of capitalism. Even the poorest will still be healthy and are able to raise their children, and those children will have the same chances as rich children when it comes to education. In the end it comes down to this, everyone starts with similar chances and will keep on having chances as long as they follow the rules.

The rich will always have an advantage for their children but taxes will always try to even out the chances, while the rich will still have the extras. They will always carry the most responsibilities as well. Money is power and power comes with responsibility. In the end, in a hybrid system you can choose that.

I know it's hard for an american to understand but once you get to know a peacefull society, you will understand the true meaning of being rich.

He's been slightly below average as a President, but still better than GWB. That's not saying much though.

These things would already have happened only it would be much worse. The usa has these problems because it's mainly capitalistic.

It was inevatible, be glad you have a president like him.
