Because even if they did, it would kill the Lochness Monster, leaving it uneligible for "live" testing with scientists. (To study its actions and such)
Sounds like a perfectly tangable idea to me, might as well burn down the forests in the pacific northwest to find bigfoot
I was actually considering that...Sounds like a perfectly tangable idea to me, might as well burn down the forests in the pacific northwest to find bigfoot

If it's not there, then it would be no fun. It's like when you thought Santa was real, but now:
ALL YOUR HOPES AND DREAMS ARE CRUSHED!!!!!!! HAHAHA!!!
Also, it would kill a lot of fish I would think.
Lol that's the equivilant of melting the North Pole to find Santa. And we'd never do that. Oh wait...hamstergeddon

To keep the legend going, who really would go there if they knew the lochness monster was not true. Say goodbye to tourist attraction.
What if it was true? They kill the animal and mount it in a museum! Hello new tourist attraction. I know that you're joking, but look at it this way. Right now, it's already a tourist attraction, and they get money off of it. If they drain it, they have a 50/50 shot of it staying a tourist attraction (finding it or not.) Why take the risk?

it doesnt exist...MasterBolt360
Teh proof! :o
Elephant lifting up its trunk?
That just shows there's an elephant in Scotland or a monster, either way we have a mystery!

For starters, because the time loss and money loss and environmental damage that would result from this sort of thing would be absolutely stupid.
WHY would anyone try to drain this entire huge ****ing lake, just to satisfy a handful of nutbags who think there's a monster living in it? Do you even realize how ridiculous this is?

Elephants don't live in Scotland.
That photo is a hoax. A guy put a fake monster on a wooden pole, put it in the water so that the head was sticking out, and then took a picture.
