I have like 2 or 3 frineds that always post deep down personal info and problems in their status.
Why do they always do taht. You know one like this?

I think they just crave attention really. I rarely say anything about myself, but others seem to want to let the world know what they just ate. Unfortunately when I do post personal things, it goes horribly wrong. Someone took a 'who is the boy of your dreams' quiz, and, being bored and curious, I thought I might as well take it too. I did, but I accidentally clicked publish without realising, and was swamped with messages questioning my sexuality, and whether I really do fancy Zac Efron 8)
[QUOTE="tofu-lion91"]Because they're idiots?ferron321Bingo :P I see quite a few people do it, and it can often seem like a bit of an attention seek. What they said, because you know, if you don't have over 1000 friends on facebook, you're a failure at life! :o
While most are probably doing it to get attention I'm sure some do it so only their friends see it. Not everyone has friends list that include people they actually do not know. Plus, people posting personal FB status is the same as people on this forum creating topics asking for girl/boyfriend help and other personal stuff.
People try to be more deep on facebook. Sometimes I wonder if my friends are closet philosophers.

I doubt it. Many people I know (it's women especially, and it's usually concerning relationships) do the same, and so do they with their "personal message" on MSN. The thing is, what they say isn't really "deep". It's cliche and uninspired, borderline idiotic-spew/pseudophilosophy nonsense. I'm pretty sure they don't think of it themselves half the time.
Exactly, it's what facebook was designed for. To let people know what you're feeling and for others to take a look into your private life.I dunno, pretty much everyone I know does that. I personally like eavesdropping and getting details into people's lives, so facebook is great.
