Why do people like pie so much?

What is the big deal about pie? Sure some of it is tasty and you could put anything into a pie crust. But why do people freak out over the greatness of pie? It's too filling. It's too difficult to get an evened out amount of filling and crust. All most people do is fill it with fruit, if I wanted to eat fruit and pie crust I'd eat a fruit and a piece of bread. Yeah okay pizza is really good, but can we even consider it a pie anymore?

Get over yourselfs people, pie is only a fad that will die out in about 10 years when all the fat people who enjoy it too much die out.

Pie=Overrated
