Why do people hate the MTV generation?

They don't seem to play music that isn't mainstream.

There are plenty of good bands out there that aren't shown on mtv. This is why I don't like MTV, that and I barely ever see them air music these days.

Wow. You guys are in good shape. We have, like, three. And they're bad ones...

Some of them only have rap vidoes, which does not thrill me at all...

Anyway, they don't play much music and what they do is formula mainstream.

i would actually like a Music show to actually play all kinds of Music and have different types of shows showing unknown and known bands that would be really cool IMO Norg

It's all really good music. I found my favorite band "Deftones" by watching MTV. Hell, they even show music videos by My Chemical Romance and Hawthorne Hights.ryuisill81

Lots of people are afraid of pop music.

"you are on MTV, you're a sell out"

People generalize, and say every band on MTV sucks.

Personally, I love pop music, but I find many bands on Mtv SOUND the same, they arent bad, but they are getting samey.

I feel like im listening to the same bands 10 times in a row.

Pop music is just getting boring.

Thats why I really like bands like The Killers, they are actually unique sounding.
