Who is the best rock group?

I think the Beatles and Rolling Stones are regarded as the best "ROCK" acts ever. Out of your choices, being as the first few would be "Metal" i'd say Pink Floyd

I feel obligated to say Animals as Leaders,Between the Buried and Me and Periphery but thats me and my taste and considering they are massive influences on me especially Periphery hahaha.

bought it on release day, thought it was atrocious compared to their old stuff, it just lacks that ooomph in my book.

Theres nothing that compares to songs like Falling away with you,Stockholm Syndrome,Citizen Erased,Futurism,Bliss,Dead Star or even Hysteria.

The production just felt like it lacked soul to me, it all felt too clinical on the 2nd law, supremacy isnt half bad and has the old vibe but i just feel the ochestral backing feels a bit out of place at some points that might just be me it all feels to rock opera for my liking.I probably love the older stuff because it focuses on their core instrumentation as a band.
