mhm, the host should be someone currently active in OT that eagerly wants to do it.

At this point just doing it (the OTcars) in a decent, but not great, way is better than not having it at all. Then we can build towards the future. Baby steps.

OTcars has not been the same after it got raped by gerg last year.

I think that ship has sailed. Not many users here....mostly new. Meh...the community is gone. Last year there wasn't one. Do we really need one? Just enjoy the forum.

Currently me and the gang are pushing for a January 15th start off.

This year's ceremony and voting process will be the introduction of a new and more interactive style.

More details will be forthcoming before the close of the year.

Last year, the gerg had the hosting duties and I think it got away from him or something.

Guys, how do you feel about user spotlights for those who get noms. Short little q and a's that will be conducted through the pm system and then posted in a thread?

You had to stir up the past indz didn't you. The issue actually did occur to me a couple of days ago but decided not to disturb its slumber. Last year's OTcars were a gigantic flop that resounded all over the internet. For **** sake we had thegerg for a host lmao. Whose idea was that for a prank.

If Dave actually comes through this year and hosts the thing then I suggest he changes the scheme so that it would fit OT's current state better. Fewer OTcars for instance and lax voting privileges' criteria. We have a few good newbies that should be allowed to vote.

Go ahead Dave, do whatever you think best. Also as we have very less members now, mostly new users around here, make OTcars more new ( some newly added categories as best game of 2014 according to OT if you feel like it ) and colorful ( with pictures ).

I love OT as all of you, really hate to see its past traditions dying lol. I'll always try to stir up things to make OT more active, more users participating or posting HeHe

Yea I agree with indz, do whatever you see fit Dave. Just take into account that the OTcars will have to adapt to the new OT if they are to survive.

I was actually thinking of having a few awards devoted to 2014 media.

Like best book, movie, show, game etc.

having those awards be a small part of OTcars while still celebrating the members that make us come back here.
