I feel truly mentally disturbed when my uncle comes to my room to tell me things, I feel like I am being held back. School starts next week and I can tell just by the power in his voice he thinks all i'm gonna do all week is homework, who the **** gets by on homework lol. Any suggestions?

You should answer the topic

But what i'm explaining is that I feel disturbed mentally whenever my uncle(who is my guardian) comes into my room and really just practically verbally forces me to do as he wants. And so I like to do alot of things and keep a daily routine not so routine, however he expects to me go to school everyday(which I %100 agree on) and come home to do homework and stay home(**** off). What should I do to get him off my back? With pressure like this everything seems impossible.

The thread title doesn't seem to have anything to do with the problem you have. I suggest you change it for clarity. Also, I don't know what you can do aside from telling him that you can still succeed academically without studying or doing homework all the time.

Indeed, what homework has to do with your "true potential" is completely beyond me. That is, unless you consider your true potential to be lazy and or whatnot. School is cool, actually put forth some effort into it and it can be of some help later down the road. As far as the question is concerned, to an extent. There are some things I very much wish I could be doing with my life at the moment such as doing an internship with a specific church in NYC. However, this is not to say I am currently incapable of doing great things where I am right now as I continue to work toward my Masters. I find that the greatest hindrance to my "true potential" is actually myself.

How old are you? I can't begin to imagine you're in high school and still being heavilty sheltered in the way you described.

I take it you live in his house. You want him to F-off? Run away. Then you can do anything you want.

Anything less, you'll have explain nicely your schedule and listen to his recommendations. Teachers/Counselors too can help.

So, your uncle comes into your room and forces you to do things..? :|

I'm sorry, but like others, I don't quite follow, do you mean, you don't think homework helps? Or that you wan't to do work your own way?

You're very vague on "true potential". Is he keeping you from maximizing your gaming time? Or maybe he's keep you from watching too much porn?

You have one question in the thread title, and another (unclear) question in your OP.

I think you should take extra time to compose your thoughts before making threads. Proofreading wouldn't hurt either.

That's my suggestion.

Connecting the two, I know my self really well. My inrapersonal skills is one of my strongest suits. So having someone who I only lived with for 3 months tell me how to do things and when is depressing. Thus I never actually get to do what I want to, as in playing musical instruments, as in doing my homework to the best of my abilies. Just any uneeded pressure really throws me off balance and makes me feel lazy. SO I wanted to know how to confront him about how he invades my privacy and space, truly shocking to me. Though he hasn't dealt with a teen up until I was obligated to move into his house and he has two girl children.

Amber084

No haha. The stress level I obtain from him is so harsh that, I don't even play video games anymore AND I watch porn when before I didn't, simply to minimize the stress.

I just think that once you get to the point where you go into someone's room to tell them what to do you are thrwoing them off balance.
