Remember when Digimon was actually just as much if not more popular than Pokemon? Tv show cards toys, games? Which do you think is the overall better series? I give: Tv show=Digmon Toys=Digimon Cards=Pkmn Games=tie, especially since one changed up and one stayed the same, but the former had mixed results.
pokemon, I remember watching digimon when Iw as a kid, I think the story might have been a little deeper then pokemon? Or am i imagining things? I remember nothing anyway lol. But I never really got into it and stuck with pokemon. pokemon had the games, digimon had a few to but pokemon still blew it out of the water.

There was never a time when Digimon was even half as popular as Pokemon Yep all those figures showing Digimon has better ratings on TV and had more profitable movies are all lies.
I used to adore both as a kid. Like, a lot! I think my overall preference went towards Pokemon back then though due to the game and the fact that it came first.

The games were not far apart in sales for a bit but then PKMn for a huge boost(although profit wise PKMN made more since that series takes less money to make then the Digimon games at the time.) Carts and shows though, Digimon, in fact, even with the boost, Digimon was still doing toys quite well along with PKMN. Digimon at some point, drive off a cliff, and that cliff was a 90 degree angle because Digimon almost vanished when it stopped doing well.

the digimon TV series was WAAAYY better. Every pokemon episode was EXACTLY the same. they meet someone with a problem, they use their pokemon to try to solve the problem, team rocket interferes, they beat team rocket, storys over, RINSE AND REPEAT. digimon was way better, not to mention their movie was better too. pokemon got stupid after the first 150 pokemon too.JustSignedUp
:lol: Pokemon has had bad designs in every generation and Gen 1 is by far the worst.
Obviously Pokemon is way better in games. Digimon however i think has a deeper story with more characters that the viewer actually learns and cares about. I also like how in Digimon they are friends with thier chosen digi and each has a very different personality and is intelligent. I think one of the problems with Pokemon now is that they have added hundreds of new pokemon that are pretty much the same as many that have come before. The legendary are pretty cool, but i really only like the original 151 for the most part.

Really? I never even heard of it before the anime, and by the time the anime first aired here Pokemon as already a year in.
