Currently watching Daredevil Directors Cut, wow movie is pretty good watch. They should reebot the franchise ... imo. Will watch Elektra next.
Whats your opinion on Daredevil (2003) and Elektra (2005)? :)

@indzman: I remember watching them and thinking they were ok...not amazing but also not as bad as most people make you think.
That being said, I don't believe I have watched the Director's Cut...no idea what it has extra.

Says it got extra 30 mins of coolios story about murder case:)
I never watched Elektra, but **** that Daredevil movie. I may be a bit hazy on the details, but didn't that movie start out with the hero working as a lawyer on the prosecution's side, and then he flat-out murders the defendant when he loses the case?
Is that the kind of hero we're supposed to be rooting for? Here's a tip, jackass: maybe if you spent more time doing lawyer work and less time prancing around in tights during the night, perhaps you would have been A BETTER LAWYER and could have actually gotten the guy convicted.
But never mind that, you can't be a lawyer who is trying to get criminals to go to prison, and then flat-out murder dudes when you fail at your job, and still expect me to like you. As far as I recall, this wasn't even done in a "Breaking Bad" sort of way wherein you're supposed to know that the guy is a pile of shit and still sympathize with him regardless. To my recollection, it was more like, "yeah, that's totally okay because he's bad so **** that guy."
And, no. **** that. People talk about all the goofy shit that happened in that movie afterwards, but for me it's irrelevant since they lost me right from the start. That's like being a waiter who sucks ass at waiting, and then pees in a customer's food when they send their first order back because you took the order down wrong. I don't consider that to be acceptable behavior from NORMAL PEOPLE, but this was a goddamn superhero who was doing this kind of shit. Superheroes are supposed to be better than us, and that movie showed me a superhero who is WORSE than me and still ends up being validated because of "bad guys are bad, so **** 'em." This movie can fucking rot in hell.

Have you seen arnie's ERASER? There too bad guys get free from court in the end for power and money, but arnie kills em as it looks like a accident.Justice served wrongly, but had to be done.
Sometimes Law is not the only way to punish the wrong as they buy law :)

Nope, never seen Eraser.
You know what else I've never seen? One of these vigilante heroes actually owning up to what they did. It'd be one thing if Matt Murdoch murdered a dude in cold blood "because it needed to be done", and then turned himself in and/or stopped being a goddamn lawyer. But as I recall, he didn't do that. And that makes him a fucking coward. If taking justice into your own hands is something that so desperately needs to be done, then do it and then stand in a courtroom and fucking say that it needed to be done and you'd do it again. Make a goddamn decision here. If your JOB is being a lawyer, then you're supposed to FOLLOW THE LAW. Not break the law whenever it's convenient for you, while simultaneously trying to send people to prison for breaking the law. If your morality gets in the way of you doing your job, then fucking QUIT YOUR JOB, not sit there continually collecting a paycheck while PRETENDING to do your job and murdering people on the side.
@MrGeezer: I've always seen Daredevil as a sort of anti-hero, so being a hypocrite doesn't seem out of character.
Ben Afleck was pretty decent in Daredevil. Both movies shite though imo.
Really poor action sequences, drama CGI e.t.c.... rubbish.
Ben Affleck was actually pretty good, but the movie was terrible. Elektra had no redeeming features.
I liked Daredevil.....never saw Elektra. Netflix is supposted to be getting a Daredevil TV show in 2015.
I've not seen either. Where they actually good or were they just not as bad as you were expecting and it exceeded your low expectations?

Daredevil is good if you enjoy movies like Super or Kick Ass, protagonist got no super power but very good reflexes for a vigilante. Jon Fraveau maintains the movies funny quotent. Try to watch the directors cut :)
@LJS9502_basic: They are currently filming in New York now. They have three other shows lined up as well.
@indzman: They were set to reboot it with director Joe Carnahan (Smokin' Aces) at the helm, but Fox canceled production and let the film rights expire back to Marvel's possession.
Daredevil wasn't horrible, it had some good moments. Elektra was indeed horrible.
The movie was ruined by the extremely ridiculous fight scene on the playground alone.

hmm, thanks for sharing, I liked Super and Kick-Ass, now I wanna watch Daredevil at least

I am waiting patiently.....what other three?
Daredevil is not a bad film. MrGeezer seems to have underestimated the power the Kingpin holds over New York.
Elektra: My only reason for initial interest in Elektra was the character it is based on. Now, the only reason is Jennifer Garner because that film is terrible, but she is stunning.
@LJS9502_basic: Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist are also getting shows on Netflix as well. It's supposed to lead to a Defenders mini series.
