No resolution, never worked for me anyways lol. So i'll take 2015 just as it comes.

I don't really make them, I strive for general improvement in my life on a daily/ weekly basis.
That's the way to go.
Not to shit on a tradition, but I think that New Year resolutions are generally shit. Why? Mostly because of why they're made in the first place. True change happens when people truly genuinely WANT to make a change and are willing to take the time and devotion to make that change happen. Whereas, with new year resolutions, it's more like, "How can you not make a new year's resolution? It's a cherished tradition?"
So, people just brain-fart out some stupid shit like "I'm gonna stop smoking" or "I'm gonna get laid this year, but not with a hooker", or "I'm gonna cure cancer". And yeah...some of them will do that shit. But most of them won't, or at least will make a half-assed go at it and then give up after a few months. Why? Because they never WANTED to do that shit in the first place. They're only saying that they're gonna do it because..."tradition."
"Oh, shit. It's new year and I have to make a resolution. Everyobe else is saying they're gonna make awesome changes, so I have to say something. So, gee...what are my flaws? I guess I'm too fat. Also, I'm too mean and I laugh at everybody. I know! I'll say that I promise to lose weight and stop being an asshole! That'll sound really good, won't it!"
And that's the process behind an absolute ridiculous number of new year resolutions. It's not about actually making change, it's about "tradition". You've gotta promise to change SOMETHING, or else you look like an asshole, so a lot of people just make promises that they don't really WANT to keep, and then put on a show for a little while until everyone forgets about the whole thing.
Anyway, I think that the things that are REALLY worth changing are the things that need to get changed as soon as you fucking notice that there's a problem. Do you truly think that being obese is a problem, and more specifically, something that you want to change? If so, then that's PROBABLY not your New Years resolution. If you really think it's a problem and you really WANT to change, then chances are that you would have already started fixing that shit back in March or July or October. The mere fact that you're making that stuff your new year's resolution PROBABLY means that that was one of the first things that came to mind when thinking of your flaws. You didn't have to stretch, that shit comes easy. That PROBABLY means that you've known for a long time that you've had that flaw, and have still let it go on. And...if you've let it go one this long and were apparently pretty okay with it, why would you suddenly decide to make actually WANT to make real change NOW, just because tradition says you're supposed to? Like...if the realistic notion that my drinking and smoking is going to lead to a horrible existence and an excruciating death for me, and if I knew that and okay with that risk for the entire year, then how in the hell is a new year resolution to quit smoking and drinking going to provide me a better incentive to change than the incentive of not living a miserable existence and then dying alone in agony? If that ain't enough incentive to change, then the incentive to not look like a dumbass on New Year's eve PROBABLY isn't the thing that leads to real change.
Yea new year's resolutions are dumb. Chances are, you won't really stick to supposedly life-altering decisions if you need such an incidental occasion as the beginning of a new year to compel you to undertake them. If you're serious at all about improving your life then you already are committing yourself to that all year long.
First year in a while that I've had one: Talk to my family more.
Don't do it man this is just "the spirit of the season" messing with your head. Soon it will wear off and you'll be scolding yourself for having been fooled.
Everybody gets along fine with everybody else in holidays and celebratory occasions. Sustaining that throughout the year and under all circumstances is on the other hand a totally different matter.
For me self-improvement is something I try to work on every day, so instead of making these huge goals at the beginning of each each I just try to constantly do slightly better in all aspects of my life.
You don't need any improvements ^_^
Then I'm doing a good job at keeping you fooled ;-)
I'm going to sign myself out of church officially and I will legally erase my baptismal names from my passport. Wanted and needed to do that for years, but I've now started the procedures. In about 2 weeks I will not have any official ties to religion anymore.
To keep my beard longer
To put down weight
To reach psn level 17
To hug indzman
To fight local militants and bigots if they come near me
To become closer to God. This past year I feel like I haven't been the best Muslim. I haven't been doing my prayers regularly so i hope to be more regular with my prays.
I also want to focus more on what I have instead of what I don't have this upcoming year.
I'm really optimistic about achieving my goals. But probably won't meet them like i usually do every year when i set goals.
To lose weight. I know that this is sort of the classic new year's resolution, but I have actually given this a fair amount of thought. Last year I gave up McDonald's as well as Burger King and I have mostly stuck with it (to the point of no longer craving either one). Next year I want to really take the next step and lose some serious amount of weight.
To gain weight. I've been slacking regarding working out recently, that and a very stressful autumn have made me 15lb below what I was mid-summer.
@mindstorm: I'm assuming you're moving for humanitarian reasons? Best of luck!
@davillain-: You're a nurse, right?
@davillain-: At least the doctors can't look down on you like they do with RN's (not that they should look down on anyone but bastards will be bastards)

Hey man, I wish I would have seen your comment earlier, I would have just quoted you!! We must be kindred!! lol
My new year resolution is gonna be getting a new position at my job cause I'm getting to the point that working with Doctors and there bad attitudes is taking a toll on me.
Are you sure it's not the interns? Because some of those monkeys think they are Doctors!

More specifically for Christian missions. My goal would be to help better equip the local churches in that area with stronger Bible teaching. This area of the world's churches are known for its sensationalism, emotionalism, and materialism.
This country, I must add, is also where my wife is from.
My New Year Resolution is to start a revolution with creeps outcasts and the intellectually impaired (I want to start a cult damn it)
@mindstorm going to El Salvador. God why do we know so much about each other lol
I just want to finally learn how to drive and get my license, also hopefully finishing up community college.
