Here at Gamespot, joined originally back in 2007 but didn't start posting till 2009. I later made a new account (this one) since I didn't like my old username.

Not really sure.

I don't believe this was my first one, but it's also the only username forum I actually stuck with (though am mostly just here out of habit now).

I was using BBS and Usenet back in the 80's if that counts.

I recall being a member of several Amiga BBSes during the late 80's (via Genie).

The Fable forum through Gamespot in 2008 was my first forum.

It was an old BBS board called 'The Swamp' back in the mid '80s in the South Bay area of Southern California.

off topic but what happened to the OT Anime thread? It suddenly disappeared today.

Here at gamespot I left my first mark around 2003 ish I feel old

Back when the old format existed where it had ps2 GameCube And Xbox classic categories

Heck I believe when I joined n64 had a forum

Gamespot 2008, but I actually posted on TV.com in 2008 first for a while, until it started feeling too dead/boring in 2009-2010. TV.com used to be connected with Gamespot until April 2009.

Definitely 2010 though was when I really started posting here.

Gamespot and TV.com 2006

I wish TV.com could be revived somehow. This site too also needs some revival juice. TV.com was wicked fun with its leveling system, same goes for this site.

Feels like the internet's gone too downhill in general, feels like everything good just keeps disappearing.

Gamespot though I've actually been visiting this site many year before actually joining when it went by a different name...

Gamecube forums here on GS back a few years before I actually joined (browsed OT some too). Never really dabbled in other forums since then besides ones that were off-shoots of this place (TDH, etc.)

That site is on life support last time I checked. Hell this site is 100 times more active than it even.

Yeah it sucks that various sites just go down the crapper for some reason.

Half Life 2 Episode 1 and NFS Most Wanted ( 2006) were my first forums on gamefaqs ( previously it was under gamespot ) :)

Game Revolutions back in 2009 is were I started posting in the forums. I been lurking on Gamespot back in 2012 but never really sign up until early October to be part of the community and so, here I am.

P.S I'm also on Anime Community.

@mitu123: LOL I couldn't back then, I went back to Nursing college to become a Nurse Practitioner and I couldn't be distracted from my studies and now that I'm done with school, I can freely come into the forums now then ever.

It's like it was deleted.

Some random BBS forum I don't remember back in the late 1990s. I think it had something to do with either games or anime.

umm.. not sure. i think some usenet groups or something a long time ago. early 90's maybe

2005, Gran Turismo board on the GameFAQs forums. Oh who could've known what would start.

I used to get modded there plenty of times because I told some people they have shit taste in certain shows. I was kind of surprised why I was never banned or even suspended for that matter, though I'll admit that I was an idiot sometimes if not most of the time but we all "start off" somewhere in our young teen years. I stopped logging in back in 2010. It's pretty much dead now.

I was very late to the internet party and didn't really get into online communication until 2004 in my last year of high school. I had the internet in 2001 (?) or a year earlier, but didn't get DSL/cable until early 2005, when I first joined Gamespot.

I haven't really joined (and contributed to) many forums since. The one's I keep up with are The Board (some ex-GS members who were a part of a union I frequented), Endless Backlog (same as previous, just different ones) and I just recently joined TruckersReport.com for the mere reason of it being directly related to my future career and it being a highly-populated source of information that I can dig into and possibly even get positive support from if I ever have issues and cannot contact my company/etc.

I've dabbled with others (like TDH) but most forums these days seem very like insular communities, and are honestly (and unfortunately) on the way out socially on the internet.

I don't know if you would consider chat rooms to be forums. AOL chat rooms, 1997 for me I had a 1200 baud modem at the time, and chat rooms were about the most my bandwidth could handle.

Probably the first actual forum I used was Sherdog.com (MMA) back in 2002 or so. I haven't taken part in their forums in years though.
