I'd say Shining (original), House on Haunted Hill (remake) or Ghost Ship I guess but there really are too many to name.

inb4 non-serious answers like Paranormal Activity.

The Ring
Just The Ring, not the whole The Ring Series but just The Ring...the first one or rather the one after Ring 0.

Way too many movies to mention.

I see what you did there. For me, it'd have to be The Conjuring (just watched it the other night and still have goosebumps) or one of the great classics like the Entity or Poltergeist. Ghost movies are the only ones that really get a scare out of me anymore.

@MystikFollower: I thought people would get angry and not understand the joke, but I guess I was wrong. lol Also, nice choices.

It stems from the fact that I thought it was real when it was a kid. It scared me more than any other movie because it was the most realistic. I still enjoy watching it.

You know when it comes to horror movies I never really know what to say. Nothing really jumps out at me as being really impressive.

I forgot to add, I also like The Grudge, but just The Grudge 1 and 2.

The Shinning, it's hard to beat the master. Something like 200 takes for one shot if I remember right and made one actor cry lol.

I like a lot of the films mentioned, some others a like a lot, original Nightmare on Elm St, Childs Play, Devils Rejects, Cannibal Holocaust, The Cell, Dawn of the Dead remake.

And I liked The Man of Steel.

Yeah it's a good movie but I didn't like what happened after The Grudge 2. I hate it when a movie series get ruined...well for me The Grudge 3 isn't good at least.

If we're being serious (why make a thread if not?) it's Nightmare on Elm Street. Freddy is my favourite horror villian, but I also love the first couple Friday the 13ths and Halloweens.
