I was spending a ton of time playing videogames. Then I realized I was spending a ton of time playing videogames and wondered what I might be able to do if I did something else. Well, I don't think video games have gone far enough to interfere with any other hobbies I might have but if I stopped playing games and decided never to look up gaming news again... I probably would go get intoxicated with my friends and/or develop the frat boy type of personality. I grew up with video games so it pretty much developed my personality and timidness.
I don't know. I only play video games during school holidays and probably enjoy gaming much more than any other hobby. However, if I did stop playing video games, I'd probably be reading more books or watch even more TV.
Not playing much these days, but I still buy, buy, buy, so I guess I'd just have more money in the bank. That's about it. And not spending time reading about video games I guess would give me more time to play around on the computer and hopefully learn something useful. Yeah, I'd be a better person.
Interesting question - to be honest I don't think I'd be as productive. I don't overdo it on video games, but they are an excellent source of stress relief. If a person does nothing but work, it will eventually start to wear on him, and he'll get burnt out. A burnt out worker is an unproductive worker.
I probably would have a more active hobby, like sports or something. I guess it works both ways; who knows, if I didn't have video games, maybe I'd be doing drugs or robbing stores or something bad like those....
