Anything with good action or drama like Death Note and Code Geass. As far as longer running ones I still enjoy One Piece(gave up on Naruto no reason to continue to have filler when the source material ended nearly a year ago and the spin off ended as well....)
I used to watch anime 6 years ago...
I have close to zero interest in it now.
1. DBZ
2. Samurai Champloo
3. Death Note
4. Paranoia Agent
5. Serial Experiments Lain
6. ChinChan
7. Naruto (not including Shippuden)
those are the one I can remember that I know I liked alot.
Gurren Lagan too but I barely remember it.
There is this one anime I cant remember the name, but it starts of with a guy naked in front of the white house with a gun, he has no memory and he's trying to get back to Japan where there are daily terrorist bombings.
NO LISTING PLEASE!
HOW MANY TIMES AM I GOING TO SEE THIS TOPIC?
Why not list why you hate list threads?
Because, basically, only the poster enjoys his post in such threads. The others don't. We all love making lists and shit, but we gotta admit that we hardly, if ever, read other people's unless we got some sort of a crush on 'em.
@and1salttape: Is there a rule against listing threads or do they just personally piss you off? Also it's not a listing thread I just thought I'd throw in my top ten so people could get a sense of my taste. Just happens people thought to do the same.
Also I do read peoples lists to see what kind of tastes they have.
@cabaretvoltaire: No, there's no rule. Feel free to make more. I'm just saying that, I've seen this topic a hundred times by now. Just write ''top 10 anime'' in forum search and be dazzled. The only purpose these listing threads serve is that they give people an idea of what you like but that idea is only necessary when asking for recommendations. I think the first part of your question, 'What kind of anime do you like?', would have made up for a far better thread. Giving people the option to list is just giving them easy way out. It would have been more interesting to see people getting philosophical about their favorite anime than just listing them out.

Eden of the East
yeah wtf was that anime about?
I liked the concept, but I watched it entirely and never understood what was going on. What was the deal with the cell phones.
(I watched this durring the summer before my senior year where I watched about a dozen animes all at once)
The non high school drama/moe kind. I haven't watch anime for years now as I'm having a hard finding something I would like. Gangsta looks kind of interesting and but the studio closed down two months ago.

something about saving the world beside that don't remember, i didn't like it very much myself.
@Gamerno6666: Not funny anymore.
Right? King of the Hill is better. ;)
Mad Bull 34 all the way, brojob.
That one was pretty manly.
A manly anime with no lolis, school girls/boys, etc, is Golgo 13. Thought it should be brought up given how underrated it is and it's one of my favorites.
Also, his expression never changes, that's how professional he is. He's great at his job and has sex with a lot of women in this show.
@CountBleck12: Most Dezaki anime are good. Golgo 13 is pretty campy compared to the manga but damn is it entertaining and like you said manly!
The last one I watched was Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood which I binged watched on Netflix and really enjoyed that one.

Glad to hear you're a fan, it's a little difficult to find fans of the series.
I recently got all the manga that released in the US so I got to get to reading those soon. I also got all the DVD collections from Rightstuf since they were on sale for only $7.20 each.
Anime is for basement dwelling weebs.
Nah, but for real... I watch anime from time to time. Watch Death Parade, it'll make you think about your last day on earth.
Really dig Hunter x Hunter, Attack on Titan, and Kenichi.
Related: Anyone got a good site for subs or dubs? I'm sure many of you do! Feel free to share, I rely on what I can find on Amazon, Netflix,, or TV, which is mostly a miss (i.e. lazy).
My favorite Animes are:
