That kind of bothered me about the new WTC; the spire is over 400' tall. I was in New York last winter and found myself somewhat underwhelmed. There's a new apartment building (432 Park Avenue) in midtown that has a taller roof height (1,396 vs 1,368) and I found it to be almost as impressive.

Pretty much any lived in building with a lot of history. Recently visited French Riviera and there are many interesting structures in that area.

Probably an unpopular opinion because I think I'm the only Londoner that likes The Shard... I used to work in a building where my window overlooked The Shard as it was being built. I thought it was pretty cool watching it grow up!

@bforrester420: I've only been on the observation deck of the ESB, but that was more than enough to get excellent views in New York.

I like super tall buildings, legendary skyscrapers. Another good one should be the Sears Tower in Chicago, unfortunately, it appears they don't allow you to be able to visit much for floors in it. Most notably like, all of the upper floors... not sure if this is entirely true however.

Jumeirah Emirates (Twin) Towers - I see it every day heading to work and I think it looks better in reality.

Yes, that's Burj Khalifa at the back.

That apartment building is just rich people saying "we literally tower over all of you". I read that some people have purchased apartments there for almost $100,000,000. What kind of douchebag blows all of that on freaking housing?

While Dubai's buildings are fancy and post-modern, it's a shame that the UAE doesn't exactly have modern human rights.
